The Romanian Cultural Institute in Budapest presents
“Wild Carpathia III – Wild Forever”
at the Central European University

 

On February 26, 2015, starting from 6 pm, The Romanian Cultural Institute in Budapest in partnership with the Pasts, Inc. Center for Historical Studies at the Central European University (CEU) presents “Wild Carpathia III – Wild Forever”, in Oktober Hall (1051 Budapest, Oktober 6 Street, No. 7).

After the film screening, dr. Constantin Iordachi, the co-director of the Pasts, Inc. will moderate a discussion with the participation of Alasdair Grant, co-producer and cameraman of the film and Marsha Siefert, Associate Professor at the Departament of History, CEU, expert in visual studies.

The third part of the “Wild Carpathia” trilogy is a travel documentary produced by “The European Nature Trust” and “Almond Films”, with the support of the Romanian National Authority for Tourism and “Travel Channel”.

The “Wild Forever” episode presents the Northern part of Romania, starting from Cluj-Napoca, exploring the Merry Cemetery in Săpânţa, the wooden church of Săpânţa-Peri and the one in Deseşti (UNESCO heritage), old houses in Maramureş and monasteries from Bucovina, finally reaching the Bicaz Canyon.

The film will be screened in English with Romanian subtitles.
